September 2022 Newsletter
As daylight hours decrease and birds begin their migration south, new and returning opportunities for collective learning and reflecting are showing up. While CORE is not offering any Circles in the next few months, we are pleased to share several opportunities with you that will provide opportunities to reflect, learn, and connect with yourself and others.
Some funding from CORE is available for these experiences. If financial assistance would enable you to deepen your connections with self and community through one of the above experiences, please reach out to Megan Mrozek at least ten days before the event with your request.
In alignment with our mission, CORE continues to provide funding and/or accompaniment to a number of individuals and local organizations doing powerful work in our community. The funding we provide is often to participate in trainings and growth experiences similar to those shared above. Our accompaniment can include assistance with selecting an appropriate training, coach, or consultant. Our organizational grantees/partners over the past couple of years have included:
- Be Well Madison
- Center for Democratic and Environmental Rights
- Community Shares of Wisconsin
- Freedom, Inc.
- Institute for Zen Leadership
- Latino Academy for Workplace Development
- Natural Circles of Support
- Open Doors for Refugees
- Sweet Water Liberation Lab
- UNIDOS Against Domestic Violence
- Urban Triage
We are honored to be in relationship with these organizations and individuals as we collectively spread and deepen core practices for social transformation.
CORE Circle of Transformational Practice
We have no CORE Circles scheduled at this time.
If you would like to read descriptions of past Circle gatherings along with related blog posts, please visit our web page.
Our most recent gathering was a presentation on the Rights of Nature along with Community Shares of Wisconsin, Menikanaehkem, and the Center for Democratic and Environmental Rights. You can learn more about the topic and see a video of the presentation here.
CORE’s Circle of Transformational Practice
… offers an opportunity to hold brave space together, to listen deeply to ourselves and others, and to collectively learn and share practices that support personal and social transformation. All are welcome.
CORE will offer Circle gatherings on an occasional basis, as opportunities arise that align with our purpose and the longings of our expanding community. If there is a Circle topic you would like to suggest or lead, please let Julie know.
Watch for future CORE newsletter emails, the CORE website, and CORE FaceBook page for updates.
