CORE Circle Invitation: Tending to Grief
Tending to Grief: a Circle of Practice
with Julie Swanson, Stephanie Steigerwaldt, and Marcela Kyngesburye
“What if grief is not something to endure or get over but a relationship that will reshape us in some fundamental way?” Francis Weller, The Wild Edge of Sorrow
What might we learn if we come together as Grief Tenders in Circle Practice to deepen and honor our relationship with grief?
Join us as we explore co-creating an embodied, collective space to tend to our personal and collective grief. We will honor all forms of grief, such as from losses, change, and transitions; sorrows of our world (environmental, political, racial injustice…); loss of belonging; anticipatory grief; ancestral grief; and grief that is felt but not yet named.
Two options to participate:
In-person:
Date: Thursday, January 25 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm
Location: Goodman Community Center, Lau Christensen Room (Brassworks Building, 214 Waubesa Street, Madison)
